Like other complex organisms, organizations are multi-cellular (composed of many diverse individuals), have a range of different structures (from teams to divisions to multinationals), are complex and dynamic (rather than complicated and pre-programmed), and are co-opetitive with other organisms in their environment. Organizations are fascinating new organisms; still in their infancy, learning to learn, becoming self-aware, testing their power on a global scale, trying to find their place in the greater scheme of life and imagining a contribution far beyond “markets” and “economics”.

Our goal for the website is two-fold: first to make these concepts clear and understandable; as simple as possible without destroying the wonder and mystery that are the essence of “life” and “living”. Secondly, we want to engage you in a dialogue; to hear your voice, your ideas, and your experiences as you interact with the organisms in your own personal organizational world.
